Description/Job Summary

LOCATION:

  • This position may be located in Lubbock , Home Office, or another approved location depending on candidate.


EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, business, or a related field


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of proficient event management and event logistics.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.


FUNCTIONS:

  • Assigns all events to the overall Association events calendar
  • Coordinates with lending market staff to ensure event and trade show staffing
  • Develops event concepts
  • Manages each event budget
  • Oversees the site selection and/or preparation, including set-up and tear down of displays
  • Coordinates the logistics elements
  • Organizes and assists marketing with promotional materials
  • Processes approvals and payments of invoices
  • Engages and builds relationships with current and future vendors
  • Administers post-event reporting


PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in maintaining and building enriching business relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle pressure and make split-second decisions.
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
